Kai Sawicki
I’m Kai Sawicki, an image maker with a focus in photography, curation, moving image and print. Within my work I often draw from my own life experiences. I generally explore themes such as relationships, heritage, identity, the body and mind. In most of my work I use digital photography to create digital and print editorials and publications. My work tells a story through the use of styling, casting, emotion and movement.
I graduated with a BA in Fashion Communication in 2023. Currently I am studying a MA in Photography at UWE to further my freelance career in photography as well as this hopefully lead to a career in education. I want to help the next generation of creatives, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Growing up a plus size neurodivergent women made me view fashion and art differently, now I want to be apart of the creatives leading the change in acceptance of everyone in the fashion industry.

Heart of Church Road
Mel & Jordan
I met Mel last year when I moved to St George. It started as just a quick hello outside Aldi where Mel would be trying to make enough for that nights hostel. It has now blossomed into a friendship. Me and Mel found common ground with us both being autistic, it was really interesting relating to each other. Mel and Jordan are the sweetest people you will meet on Church Road. They are always looking out for people and going out of their way to make someone’s day.

The Divinity of Flesh & Fixation
The Divinity of Flesh and Fixation is a visual ode to the human body and mind.
A series inspired by fetishes and phobias.
Fixation is the common experience of fetishes and fear.
There is a fine line that separates them.
