Riot Dogs is an independent photography based visual arts platform. Founded and run by Kai Sawicki. The objective of this platform is to produce physical and digital mediums showcasing photographers and artists.

About Me

I’m Kai, currently studying a masters in Photography at UWE in Bristol. I am an image maker with a focus in photography, curation, moving image and print. Within my work I often draw from my own relationships and experience. I generally explore themes such as heritage, identity, relationships, the body and mind. I use digital photography to tell a story through the use of styling, casting, emotion and movement.

My aim is to become a lecturer as well as be a freelance photographer. Working on this platform as well as individual projects.

In 2023/24 I was diagnosed with both Multiple Sclerosis and Autism. These drive me and my work. My photography is a way of communicating when words fail me. Advocating and giving a platform for disabled and neurodiverse artists is one of my main goals through ‘RIOT DOGS’.
